Artist and oeuvre: See Wikipedia or the artist's website. Carlfriedrich Claus, an important representative of avant-garde art in the GDR, was a co-founder of the artist group and producer gallery "Clara Mosch" in Karl-Marx-Stadt, which was classified as subversive by the GDR State Security. In 2005, the intermedial work of CF Claus was shown in the extensive exhibition "Schrift, Zeichen, Geste: Carlfriedrich Claus im Kontext von Klee bis Pollock" at the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz. CF Claus was also represented with works in the exhibition "UUtopie und Untergang" at the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf in 2019.
